What’s next Brooklyn getting the Super Bowl?

Well it could happen, you know. If they decide to build a football stadium. And before you laugh and give 2013 Super Bowl props, understand, no one in their right mind 10 years ago would believe Brooklyn would have a basketball team.

And the Brooklyn Nets are a hit. Selling out the Barclays Center, the Nets have become equal to the Knicks in terms of popularity. Now you are seeing the Nets have the same coverage in the New York area as their Manhattan rivals.

It is (a rivalry). I mean, after that first game, we might as well accept that,” the Knicks Carmelo Anthony said. “It is what it is. They’re on our division, we see them four times a year. It is a rivalry. It’s great for New York to have that in Brooklyn and in Manhattan. When we come here it’s a battle. When they come there, it’s going to be a battle. We expect that.”

But the Nets  are for real the same way the Cyclones a phenomenon 11 years ago and still selling out their stadium in Coney Island. The Mets affiliate has become the most successful minor league franchise in baseball.

So the real question when will the Super Bowl be in Brooklyn. Better get a Superbowl betting site on that soon!
